OK, this has been live for a few weeks now so it's about time I blogged it! Tell me what you think.
Click here for my all new website www.kuperberg.com.
I am soooo happy with the brilliant designers over at 17 feet. I want to give them credit but I also know they won't be doing any more photographers' websites. Since I first started working with them in 2004 to do my original site, they have gotten famous and successful and only take big corporate clients now. I somehow managed to talk them into doing a redesign for me. (I think the begging and pleading helped). |

This week I am going to Wilmington, Delaware to shoot Laura Novak's wedding. Woo hoo! I am very excited. Laura is a wedding and portrait photographer in Wilmington, and she's also a super nice person. There's only one other person as nice as her, and that's her fiance, John.
This wedding is going to be chock full of photographer-guests, including bridesmaids Jen Dery and Jessica Claire. And you won't believe who I get as "second shooters"-- the talented La Cour duo Rachel and Andrew! I am so lucky to get to shoot with these two smarties.
The other special thing about Laura and John is that last year I photographed their engagement. I mean their REAL engagement. They were in San Francisco and Laura asked me to photograph her and her then-boyfriend together. Just a portrait shoot. And in the middle of the shoot, John pulled out a ring and proposed! I was so glad I wasn't in the middle of changing CF cards. It was very emotional and I even got a little weepy myself. Here are a few photos for those who didn't see it the first time around. |

I just finished shooting for two days at Hot Studio, a graphic design studio in San Francisco. Last year I did all the photos that are on their current website, and this year I came in to do some more headshots of new employees, and to take some photos of the office and photos of real life designers at work.
Here are the headshots. I set up a white background and some Dynalights. There was a softbox on the right, white foamcore on the left for fill, and a bare head lighting the background. I can do this set up at wedding receptions, too. If you're interested in having this at your wedding just ask me about it.
I think that every business has its own culture which is defined by the owner of the business. In this case the owner is a very fun, dynamic, feisty person named Maria Giudice. The people who work at Hot are perfectly lovely, creative, and great to be around. I can tell their clients must really love working with them. |

| And here were the ambient shots. This really challenged me because I'm used to being at weddings where there is so much emotion and action going on. Photographing people at work is a whole nuther thing. But I just looked for the nice light, and the moments which were maybe not as emotional as a wedding, but showed concentration and thoughtfulness. |
